Reggie Holmes scored 22 points and Kevin Thompson recorded a double double, leading Morgan State in an 84-65 win over host Winston-Salem on Monday night.
Thompson scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Bears (12-7), who have won four straight. Dewayne Jackson added 11 points and Rodney Stokes had 10. Thompson also blocked three shots.
The teams traded leads throughout the first half until the Bears put together an 11-3 run to take a five-point halftime advantage. Jackson dropped in a pair of layups to spark the Morgan State run.
The Rams never regained the lead, as the Bears outscored them 44-30 to seal it in the second.
Saint Joseph's 64, Towson 57: Idris Hilliard scored 20 points to power the host Hawks (6-11), who ended a two-game losing streak.
Josh Thornton had 23 points for the Tigers (4-13). Jarrel Smith added 17.
Towson has lost eight of its past nine games.
South Carolina State 87, Coppin State 65: Jason Flagler scored 26 points to pace the host Bulldogs (8-7, 2-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) past the Eagles (5-11, 0-4).
Flagler shot 11-for-13 from the field and added nine rebounds for South Carolina State. Darnell Porter contributed with 25 points and eight rebounds while shooting 6-for-7 from 3-point range.
Sam Coleman finished with 12 points and seven rebounds to lead the Eagles, who have lost eight straight games.
Stony Brook 81, UMBC 69: Chauncey Gilliam had a game-high 24 points for the visiting Retrievers (1-17, 0-5 America East).
Brian Dougher had 23 points for the Seawolves (12-7, 4-2), who out-rebounded UMBC 50-24 with Dallis Joyner grabbing 12 and Tommy Brenton 11.
Shawn Grant scored 11 for the Retrievers.
Bethune-Cookman 63, UMES 51: C.J. Reed scored 21 points as the host Wildcats (11-7, 4-1 MEAC) beat the Hawks (4-13, 2-2).
The win was the fourth in the past five games for the Wildcats (11-7, 4-1 MEAC). The Hawks (4-13, 2-2) have lost eight of nine.
Hood 61, Marymount 60: The Saints' Stephen Simoneau (10 points) made two free throws with six seconds left for the 13th and final tie of the game.
Hood answered at the buzzer with a layup by Tory Wilson, assisted by Brendan Straughn, as the visiting Blazers (11-5, 6-1 Capital Athletic Conference) beat Marymount (10-7, 5-3).

Katie Sheahin went 1-for-2 from the foul line with 1:01 left to pull the host Greyhounds (9-8, 4-3 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) within one. But the Griffins (8-9, 3-3) went on a 6-0 run, starting with a 3-pointer by Briana Lucas with 33 seconds left, for the win.
Loyola suffered its first home loss and ended a three-game conference winning streak.
had a game-high 22 points for the Greyhounds. Sheahin added 15.
The visting Eagles (6-8, 2-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) took a 38-30 halftime lead and held on for the win. Lakeytah Irving had 16 and Leola Spotwood had 15 points for Coppin. Whitney Wiley had a game-high 20 points for the Bulldogs (5-11, 0-4).
Chena Parker made a jumper to pull the Hawks (5-8, 3-1 MEAC) within one with 40 seconds left, but no closer. Demetria Frank converted two free throws with 1:16 left to give the host Wildcats (7-9, 3-2 MEAC) the lead for good.
Kristina Rosario (15 points, 15 rebounds) and Corin Adams (15 points) helped the visiting Bears (7-9) post 30 or more points in each half and beat the Rams (2-15).
Katie Brooks had 13 points in a losing effort for the host Retrievers (8-10, 2-3 America East).
Erica Carter had a game-high 27 points for the Bearcats (6-12, 2-3).
