Five Loyola players and two from Towson were named to the Colonial Athletic Association's 25th anniversary women's lacrosse team. The Greyhounds were represented by Tricia Dabrowski of Timonium, Suzanne Eyler of Street, Stacey Morlang, Michelle Meyer of Arnold and Stephanie Roberts of Millersville. The two Tigers were Becky Trumbo of Eldersburg and Hillary Fratzke. Others of note included James Madison's Kelly Berger of Columbia, Gail Decker of Baltimore, Jess Marion of Davidsonville and Megan Riley of Harwood; Hofstra's Bridget Eder of Baltimore; George Mason's Meg Dentler of Crofton; and William and Mary's Lisa Dixon of Baltimore.
Men's basketball: Bowie State's Darrell Brooks was named Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Coach of the Week after leading the Bulldogs to a 3-0 record. ... Johns Hopkins senior forward Andrew Farber-Miller and Washington College sophomore swingman Kevin Breslin were named the Centennial Conference co-Players of the Week. Breslin also was named the Pride of Maryland Player of the Week. ... St. Mary's senior guard Camontae Griffin (Dunbar) was named Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Women's basketball: Senior center Ashley Lyles (St. Vincent Pallotti) was named the Centennial Conference co-Player of the Week.
