Ohio State's Evan Turner scored 23 of his career-high 32 points in the second half, and the visiting Buckeyes rallied from a 13-point deficit Tuesday night to beat No. 6 Purdue 70-66.

Turner scored 14 of Ohio State's final 18 points. He also had nine rebounds in his third game since missing a month with a back fracture.

Ohio State coach Thad Matta said he's not sure Turner is 100 percent healthy.

"Honestly, I hope about 50," Matta joked. "I think he's getting it back. I've gone back, I've looked at a lot of tape of when we've had him (before the injury), and he was playing at a high level. I thought he played at a high level (Tuesday night)."

The Buckeyes (12-5, 2-3 Big Ten) withstood one of the best single-game efforts in Mackey Arena.Robbie Hummel scored 29 of his career-high 35 points in the first half for Purdue (14-2, 2-2). He tied a school record with eight 3-pointers.

Home sweet: Kansas State didn't stand much of a chance against Missouri last week. Even with their best record in 61 years and their longest winning streak in a decade, the Wildcats were facing the most inhospitable place in college basketball. Mizzou Arena? No. Anywhere on the road in the Big 12.

Living up to its billing as one of the nation's toughest conferences, the Big 12 has become the Big Nasty for road opponents, boasting a whopping 114-1 record at home through Tuesday.

"It's mind-boggling," said Colorado coach Jeff Bzdelik, whose home-standing Buffaloes upset No. 22 Baylor 78-71 Tuesday night to keep the streak going.
