Mike Morsell scored 18 points as Towson beat Penn, 79-71, in a semifinal of the Florida Gulf Coast Showcase at Estero, Fla., in men's basketball Tuesday night. The Tigers improved to 3-0 and the Quakers fell to 3-3. Coach Pat Skerry got his 100th win and Towson faces Georgia Southern in tonight's championship at 7:30 p.m.
Morgan State 82, Goldey-Beacom 67: LaPri McCray-Pace scored 21 points and Tyler Streeter and Kyson Rawls each added 13 points to help the host Bears (3-2) beat the Division II Lightning (0-4).
Loyola Maryland 97, Goucher 45: Cam Gregory and Andrew Kostecka each scored 17 points, Brett Holcombe had a double double and the host Greyhounds (1-3) beat the Division III Gophers (0-3). Dwayne Morton had 10 points for Goucher.
Mount St. Mary's 91, York (Pa.) 80: Junior Robinson made all 10 of his free throws and scored a season-high 27 points and freshman Jonah Antonio posted career highs of 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead host Mount (2-3) over the Division III Spartans (2-1).
Central Connecticut State 74, Coppin State 71, OT: Tyler Kohl scored 19 points — six in overtime — and had 10 rebounds and the host Blue Devils (2-3) beat the Eagles (0-6).
Karonn Davis led Coppin State with 14 points.
No. 15 Maryland 111, Howard 48: Sophomore forward Stephanie Jones (Aberdeen) scored a career-high 24 points for No. 15 Maryland.
Junior forward Brianna Fraser matched Jones in scoring, also a career high. Senior guard Kristen Confroy (19 points), sophomore guard Blair Watson (18) and senior guard Ieshia Small (11) finished in double digits for the Terps (3-2). Fraser and Confroy also posted 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively, for double doubles against the Bison (0-4).

Loyola Maryland 61, Norfolk State 58: Molly Taylor made a 3-pointer from the corner to put the visiting Greyhounds (2-3) ahead of the Spartans (1-2) with 17 seconds to go.
Stephanie Karcz had a steal and Alexis Grey made two free throws to seal the win.
Towson 95, UMBC 64: Nukiya Mayo scored 22 points and Danielle Durjan had 21 points to lead host Tigers (1-3) past the Retrievers (1-4).
Laura Castaldo led the Retrievers (1-4) with a career-high 24 points.
