Sports Illustrated has released a special digital-only cover spotlighting the UMBC men's basketball team after its stunning blowout of No.1-ranked Virginia.

The digital cover commemorates the Retrievers' historic moment as the first-ever 16 seed to upset a top seed in the NCAA men’s tournament. UMBC standout guard Jairus Lyles is featured on the cover.

Writes SI’s Charlotte Carroll: “This isn't the first special digital cover we’ve done—the U.S. women's national team earned also earn a special digital cover for their remarkable feat in winning the 2015 Women's World Cup—but when a team conquers the world’s biggest stage like UMBC did on Friday, it's a no-brainer to offer a rare tribute to a historic sports moment.”
