Zane Martin scored 17 points on 7-gpt-10 shooting, and Arnaud Williams Adala Moto had 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals to help Towson beat Northeastern, 82-54, on Saturday night in a Colonial Athletic Association quarterfinal in Charleston, S.C.

Brian Starr also scored 12 points and Jordan McNeil added 10 for the third-seeded Tigers (20-12), who will play No. 2 seed College of Charleston in the semifinals today at 4:30 p.m.

Mike Morsell made a layup and Adala Moto scored the final six points of a 13-5 run to open the game and Towson never trailed. After Alex Murphy's layup pulled the sixth-seeded Huskies (15-16) to 15-10 with 8:54 remaining in the half, Northeastern missed eight of its next 10 field-goal attempts. McNeil's 3-pointer capped a 9-2 run that made it 24-12 about three minutes later and the Tigers led by double figures the rest of the way.

T.J. Williams led the Huskies with 15 points, and Bolden Brace scored 10.

Towson reached 20 wins for the first time as a Division I program and second time in school history.



Loyola Maryland 78, Lehigh 50: Lauren Daugherty had a game-high 21 points to lead the host Greyhounds (11-19) past the Mountain Hawks (10-20) in the opening round of the Patriot League tournament.

Loyola advances to face host Bucknell in Monday's quarterfinal at 7 p.m.

Hartford 74, UMBC 40: Deanna Mayza led all scorers with 21 points as the Hawks (17-13) beat the Retrievers (15-15) in an America East quarterfinal in Portland, Maine.
