What’s at stake: There would be no better night for the Eagles to earn their first win of the season than in coach Juan Dixon’s first game at the Physical Education Complex. The Terps legend’s coaching career at Coppin started with a disappointing but not unexpected road show, with seven losses by at least 16 points, and the eighth a three-point overtime defeat. The Midshipmen, meanwhile, have won three straight, including a 66-59 victory Sunday over Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference preseason favorite Morgan State. That win, however, came at home; Navy is just 1-3 in road games this season.
Player to watch: Mids senior guard Shawn Anderson scored in double figures for the seventh straight game Sunday. He leads the team in scoring (12.9 points per game), is tied for first in assists (3.2) and is second in rebounding (5.1 per game).
