Austin Price scored 19 points and made a key 3-pointer to lead host Lehigh to a 76-73 victory over Mount St. Mary's on Saturday night.

Charles Glover (22 points) scored seven points during a 9-2 spurt to give the Mount (3-8) a 73-68 lead with 3:22 to play. But John Ross Glover made a 3-pointer, and Price added another 3 from the top of the arc to give the Mountain Hawks (2-8) a 74-73 lead with 47 seconds left.

BK Ashe missed a pair of free throws for Mount St.Mary's, and Kahron Ross made two free throws to stretch the Lehigh lead to 76-73 with 19 seconds to go.

Will Miller tried to draw a foul and attempted an awkward 3-pointer that went under the basket and out of bounds to end it.

Howard 103, UMBC 93: Jarius Lyles scored 27 points, but the visiting Retrievers (4-9) fell short.

The nation's leading scorer, James Daniel III, had a game-high 28 points for the Bison (7-5).

Lyles was 10-for-20 from the field in 33 minutes, adding 10 boards. Will Darley (Dulaney) finished with 21 points, and Rodney Elliott (John Carroll) had 16.

Howard had lost its previous two games. UMBC next faces host Towson on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

California 84, Coppin State 51: Ivan Rabb scored 13 points with nine rebounds as five California players scored in double figures for the host Golden Bears (9-2).

California's Jordan Mathews (13 points) made two 3-pointers during his 10-point opening half and hit all four of his free throws before finishing 3-for-9 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.

Trevon Seymore led the Eagles (2-10) with 13 points, five assists and three steals.

Women

Auburn 69, Coppin State 54: Brandy Montgomery had her fifth straight game with 20 or more points to lead the Tigers (8-2) past the Eagles (2-8) at Towson.

Coppin State was led by Janelle Lane with 13 points and Amber Griffin with 12.

Virginia Tech 59, Mount St. Mary's 42: The host Hokies (10-1), led by Hannah Young with 15 points, racked up their third straight win over a school from Maryland. Virginia Tech beat Morgan State, 73-33, on Dec. 9 and Coppin State, 72-39, on Dec. 13.

Sarafina Arthur-Williams and Jessica Harris each scored nine points for the Mount (2-9).

Friday men

San Francisco 96, Coppin State 93, OT: Tim Derksen tipped in a miss by Devin Watson with 10 seconds left, then added two free throws to lift the host Dons (6-4).

James Sylvester hit a 3-pointer with 2:11 left in overtime to put the Eagles (2-9) up 93-90, but they did not score again.
