Loyola Maryland 76, Cornell 71: Four players scored in double figures as the Greyhounds won their home opener against the Big Red.
Tyler Hubbard led Loyola (1-1) with 15 points, while Eric Laster added 13, Franz Rassman 12 and Andre Walker 11. Freshman forward Cam Gregory (St. Stephens and St. Agnes) led all players with 10 rebounds.
The Greyhounds finished with a 43-34 advantage against Cornell (1-1) on the boards.
"I'm really impressed with our rebounding; that's two games in a row that we have outrebounded our opponents," Loyola coach G.G. Smith said. "And it's two games in a row that we have held our opponents to 35 percent or lower from 3-point range. I like the direction we are going with that."
For Cornell (1-1), Shon Miller, Galal Cancer and Robert Hatter led all players with 20, 19 and 17 points, respectively.
