New Jersey Institute of Technology 86, UMBC 83: Jairus Lyles (30 points) made a pair of 3-pointers in the final 10 seconds to bring the visiting Retrievers (4-11) within 85-83, but the Highlanders (9-6) held on to win.

Pittsburgh 92, UMES 58: Baltimore's Jamel Artis and Michael Young scored 14 points apiece as the host Panthers (12-1) dominated the second half to beat the Hawks (3-13).

Hofstra 90, Towson 58: Brian Bernardi had 21 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead the Pride (10-4, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association) past the host Tigers (10-5, 1-1).

Women

Loyola Maryland 66, Lafayette 65: Colleen Marshall's layup off an inbound pass from Steph Smith with one second left lifted the host Greyhounds (5-8, 2-0 Patriot) over the Leopards (2-10, 0-2).

Marshall finished with a game-high 22 points, and sophomore Bri Betz-White added 13.

UMBC 85, Vermont 48: The host Retrievers (10-4, 1-0 America East Conference) took a 45-20 lead at halftime and cruised past the Catamounts (5-9, 0-1).

Taylor McCarley and Laura Castaldo each finished with 19 points for UMBC.

Holy Cross 57, Navy 49: Tricia Byrne (13 points) made two 3-pointers in the closing four minutes as the Crusaders (5-8, 2-0 Patriot) pulled away from the visiting Mids (6-7, 0-2).

LIU-Brooklyn 61, Mount St. Mary's 51: The visiting Blackbirds (3-9, 1-0 Northeast) used a 16-9 run in the second quarter to pull away from the Mountaineers (2-10, 0-1).

Sarafina Arthur-Williams had 12 points for Mount St.Mary's.

Missouri-Kansas City 59, Morgan State 50: Braennan Farrar had a game-high 16 points, but the host Bears (3-11) fell to the Kangaroos (5-8).
