What time does Pimlico open on Saturday?
The gates and Infield will open at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Shows begin in the Infield at 8:15 a.m. For the Village, Turfside Terrace and Clubhouse Turn Reserved, gates open at 10 a.m.
What other races are run on Saturday?
There will be about fourteen races run in addition to the Preakness Stakes. The first post will be at about 10:30 a.m. and last post on Saturday will be at 7:08 p.m.
What can I bring into the Infield?
The list of what's allowed in the Infield has changed significantly over the past few years. This year, picnic lunches and other food items are allowed, though they must be transported in clear, see-through plastic containers. Small coolers are also allowed, though they must be clear and smaller than 28 inches long by 15 inches wide by 17 inches tall. Among the items that are also OK: beach blankets, suntan lotion, beach tote bags, cell phones, camera (up to 35 mm), lightweight aluminum or plastic lawn/umbrella chairs.
What can't I bring into the Infield?
People heading to the Infield may not bring beverages of any kind, including alcoholic drinks, soft drinks or water. Other prohibited items include grills, balloons or balls, tents, fireworks, umbrellas, thermoses, coolers, backpacks, duffle bags or oversized carrying devices. Also among the items not allowed: laser pointers, camcorders, tents, pepper spray/mace and metal chairs.

Can I smoke at Pimlico?
Smoking at Pimlico is allowed in designated spaces in the Clubhouse and Grandstand Apron areas but is not allowed in any seating sections, the paddock or any other indoor area.
How can I get to Pimlico?
People can drive, take taxis or private cars (e.g. Uber or Lyft), or take mass transit (metro subway, light rail, local bus or MARC weekend service) to get to Pimlico.
MTA's bus lines 27, 91, 44 and 54 (via Park Heights Avenue) stop near Pimlico. Bus passes are $3.20 for a round trip ticket or $3.50 for a day pass. There will also be a shuttle available from the Rogers Avenue metro subway station and the Cold Spring Lane light rail stop. For each, a $3.50 day pass is required.
If you choose to take Uber, keep in mind that surge pricing may apply; last year, in Maryland, Preakness was Uber's busiest weekend of the year.
On Saturday, taxi staging begins at 3 p.m. on Belvedere Avenue with access via Park.

If I drive, where can I park?
Parking is available at one of several Pimlico lots; call 877-206-8042 to purchase parking prior to race day. Keep in mind that tailgating is only permitted in Preakness Way Lot #4.
In neighborhoods around Pimlico, some street parking may be available and residents sometimes rent spaces on their property (but park at your own risk).
Where can I watch the Preakness on TV?
Preakness pre-race coverage will be broadcast on NBCSN starting at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. At 4:30 p.m., race coverage will start on NBC and at 6:30 p.m., NBCSN will air the post-race show. The race will also be covered on ESPN and HRTV.
