Alexis Carter scored a career-high 23 points to lead the host Mount St. Mary's women's basketball team (7-18, 5-9) past Fairleigh Dickinson (10-17, 7-7) on Monday night, 71-55.

The Mountaineers earned the 700th victory in program history, becoming the first Northeast Conference women's basketball program to do so.

Jessica Harris added 18 points and Sarafina Arthur-Williams added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Mount.

Coppin State 84, Delaware State 79: Janelle Lane scored 23 points and Jordan Swails added 16 off the bench to help the host Eagles (8-15, 5-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) beat the Hornets (7-17, 4-7).

Amber Griffin's jumper gave Coppin State a 50-48 lead for good with 2:16 to play in the second quarter.

Hampton 60, Morgan State 47: Malia Tate-Defreitas scored 23 points to lead the Pirates (11-13, 9-2 MEAC) over the visiting Bears.

Hampton outscored Morgan State 28-8 in the second quarter to take a 36-22 lead at the half.

Tykyrah Williams scored 16 points for Morgan State (11-13, 9-3), whose five-game winning streak ended.

Men

Delaware State 71, Coppin State 67: Aric Dickerson and DeAndre Haywood scored 13 points apiece to help the Hornets (6-20, 4-7 MEAC) beat the Eagles (6-19, 4-7).

Terry Harris Jr. scored 18 points and added eight rebounds, Trevon Seymore had 11 points and Joshua Treadwell and Christian Kessee scored 10 apiece for Coppin State.

Hampton 87, Morgan State 79: Reginald Johnson Jr. and Quinton Chievous each scored 20 points to lift the host Pirates (15-9, 10-2 MEAC) over the Bears (5-19, 3-8).

Phillip Carr and Rasean Simpson scored 21 points apiece and Andre Horne added 13 for Morgan State, which lost its fourth straight game.

The Bears shot 36 percent from the field and were 1-for-8 from beyond the arc in the second half.
