Terps appear to be in time warp leading up to game with Hoyas

Just one question: Where did Melo Trimble get those pants?

Maryland tweeted out a "Terrapin Time Warp" photo showing some of the current Terps posed exactly like their counterparts from 1973-74, the last Terps team to host Georgetown.

It seems only fitting that Maryland's old-school point guard seems to be the one player in the photos who can naturally step back in time. Then again, considering the length of Jake Layman's hair -- especially given how short his locks are compared to his freshman year -- he might be able to fit in to a similar photo taken pre-Lefty.

One thing in terms of comparing the teams: Would Mark Turgeon's group take the same result against the Hoyas? That was a 35-point win for the fourth-ranked Terps -- coming on the heels of a tough one-point loss to UCLA to open the season -- at Cole Field House.

Interestingly, the morning after that game, Tom McMillen had an interview for a Rhodes scholarship.

The interviewer was the president of Georgetown University.

"I got the Rhodes," McMillen said during a dinner on campus to celebrate both the 1972-73 team and 1993-94 team, which beat the No. 15 Hoyas in overtime at USAir Arena.
