As a result of its road loss at Michigan last Tuesday, the Maryland men's basketball team got bumped down in this week's Associated Press media poll released Monday.
The Terps, who had been ranked third, are seventh in the latest AP poll.
Oklahoma (15-1) was the unanimous No. 1 choice after Kansas (15-2) lost on the road to West Virginia (15-2).
The Jayhawks moved down to No. 3 behind North Carolina (16-2). The Mountaineers, No. 11 in last week's poll, moved up to No. 6 after beating Kansas and losing a close game at Oklahoma.
Southern Methodist (17-0) is No. 8, one spot ahead of Iowa (14-3). The Hawkeyes, who upset Michigan State last week in East Lansing, are the only other Big Ten team aside from the Terps in the top 10.
Michigan State (16-3), which also lost at Wisconsin Sunday, moved down to No. 11.
The Terps next play Northwestern at 8 Tuesday night in College Park.
