With the regular season complete, the Maryland men's basketball team now turns its attention toward its first Big Ten Conference tournament, which will be held Wednesday through Sunday at the United Center in Chicago.
The No. 2-seeded Terps have earned a double bye and won't open until Friday at 6:30 p.m., when they face the winner of Thursday's Indiana-Northwestern game.
Maryland split with the No. 7-seeded Hoosiers this season, losing 89-70 in Bloomington on Jan. 22 and winning the rematch 68-66 on Feb. 11.
The Terps won their only game against Northwestern, 68-67 at Xfinity Center on Jan. 25.
Should they advance, there are four possible opponents for the Terps in Saturday's semifinals, but the likeliest is No. 3 Michigan State, a team Maryland swept in two regular season meetings.
