Baltimore natives on 2015-16 Division I men's basketball rosters
By Matt Bracken
Baltimore college basketball fans will have 88 local players to keep track of this season, including 20 who play for Division I schools in Maryland.
UMBC leads the way with five players from the region — natives of Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Carroll County, Harford County and Howard County, and/or graduates of high schools in those areas — while Morgan State is right behind with four. Loyola and Mount St. Mary's have three apiece. Maryland (two), Coppin State (one), Towson (one) and UMES (one) are the others.
St. Frances is the most represented local high school with nine former Panthers on Division I rosters. Mount Saint Joseph and John Carroll are next with six each. Milford Mill (five), Archbishop Spalding (four), Calvert Hall (four) and Lake Clifton (four) aren't far behind.
See the chart below for a sortable list of every player.
