Pregame listening: The Navy Football Tailgate Show on WNAV will air at 1:30 pm with Wylie Baker and Bill Lusby; The Navy Football Insider game day edition will begin at 2 p.m. on WBAL with host Scott Wykoff; The Navy Football Pregame Show with play-by-play voice Pete Medhurst, color commentator Joe Miller and sideline reporter Keith Mills will get underway at 2:30 p.m. on the Navy Radio Network.

∗ There will be a parachute jumper from Team Fastrax that will be carrying an American flag at 3:24 pm.


∗ Following the game, Navy’s alma mater (Navy Blue & Gold) will be played as the team stands at attention in front of the Brigade of Midshipmen.

Of note: Navy was picked to finish fifth out of six teams in the West Division of the American Athletic Conference; East Carolina was predicted to place fifth in the East Division.

∗ This is the fifth straight season Navy has opened American Athletic Conference play at home. The Midshipmen are 4-0 in conference openers.

∗ Navy is 57-12 under head coach Ken Niumatalolo when scoring first; The Midshipmen are 73-5 during the Niumatalolo era (2008-present) when entering the fourth quarter with the lead.
