Roundup: St. Paul's upsets No. 2 Spalding in baseball, 6-1

Kiefer Rawlings hit a three-run double in the fourth inning and No. 6 host St.Paul's upset No. 2 Archbishop Spalding, 6-1, in baseball Thursday.

Jamal Wade got the win for the Crusaders (14-3, 7-3 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) and Jordan Carr took the loss for the Cavaliers (16-4, 7-4).



No. 1 Eastern Tech 16, Towson 0: Winner Jordan Cargile had 11 strikeouts and Brooks Samios-Uy went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs to power the host Mavericks (16-0) past the Generals.


No. 5 Hereford 10, Kenwood 0: Left-hander LeAnne Collins (9-1) struck out 10 for the win and raised her season strikeouts to 106 as the host Bulls (10-2) shut out the Bluebirds.

No. 9 Seton Keough 11, Notre Dame Prep 1: Winner Kelly Lynch (12-3) gave up one run on four hits and struck out six as the host Gators (13-3, 11-0 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference) beat the Blazers (4-10, 4-10).

Havre de Grace 3, No. 13 C. Milton Wright 1: The host Warriors (5-2) took advantage of fielding errors by the Mustangs (9-5) to win.

Leadoff hitter Rebecca Ashman hit a single, Taylor Smith was intentionally walked, and both came home on errors.

No. 8 Severn 19, St. John the Baptist Diocesan (N.Y.) 9: Caroline Steele and Maddy McDaniel had hat tricks and Annie Igler had two goals and three assists to lead the host Admirals (12-4) past the Cougars.
