The C. Milton Wright girls soccer team won its fifth straight Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference Chesapeake Division title Wednesday, beating host Fallston, 3-1.
The Mustangs (5-1 league, 8-2 overall) scored two goals in the first 81/2 minutes and then played the Cougars (1-5 league, 3-7 overall) even on the scoreboard the rest of the game.
Adrianna Tarbert and Angela Kuhn each scored a first-half goal.
Fallston's goal also came in the first half, when Sierrah Taylor made a strong run and scored with assist from Brooke Nigrin at 18:54.
No. 1 McDonogh 3, No. 7 Loyola 0: Calvin Livingston made six saves to record his 11th shutout for the visiting Eagles (15-0, 11-0 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference).
Tunde Akinsolotu had a goal and an assist for McDonogh. The Dons fell to 8-7-1, 5-6-1.
No. 6 Archbishop Curley 3, No. 14 Mount St. Joseph 1: Grayson Sipes had a goal and an assist to lead the host Friars (9-6, 6-5 MIAA A Conference) past the Gaels (4-6-1, 3-6-1).
Field hockey
No. 5 Garrison Forest 2, No. 7 McDonogh 1: The visiting Grizzlies (14-2, 14-1 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference) went up 2-0 in the second half and held off a late rally by the Eagles (10-3-1, 9-3-1).
Kara Frazier scored the first goal and assisted on the second for Garrison Forest.
Girls volleyball
No. 4 Severna Park d. Annapolis, 3-0: Sophie Hoekstra had eight aces and Lauren Kirchenheiter had six kills for the host Falcons (9-2).
Severna Park won, 25-9, 25-8, 25-9.
