Annual Sally E. Nyborg field hockey tournament set for Saturday

Roland Park will host the Sally E. Nyborg Invitational tournament Saturday.

In addition to the host Reds, No. 9 Westminster, No. 11 Severna Park, Fallston, Bethesda-Chevy Chase and St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Va.) will take part in the event.

The event, which raises money for lupus research at Johns Hopkins, is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. The full schedule is listed below.

Sally Elizabeth Nyborg, a varsity field hockey player in the Class of 1999 at Roland Park, died from complications caused by lupus on May 17, 1998. In her memory, Sally's parents, grandparents, friends and classmates established the Sally Nyborg Foundation for Lupus Research and the annual field hockey tournament.

Fees from the participating teams, as well as 50 percent of concession sales, will be donated to the Sally Nyborg Foundation for Lupus Research. The event is free and open to the public.
