Calvert Hall's McFadden poised to start for Georgetown

Junior attackman Davey Emala’s decision to transfer to North Carolina from Georgetown could be interpreted as a massive blow to the program. Or a chance for junior Jason McFadden.

Hoyas coach Dave Urick said Wednesday that the Bel Air native and Calvert Hall graduate is poised to join juniors Travis Comeau and Zac Guy as starters in Friday night’s season opener against No. 8 Maryland.

“When the window shuts for one guy, the door opens up for somebody else,” Urick said. “Jason has an opportunity now to settle in, and I think he’ll do fine.”
