In a lowlight that looked as if it could be straight out of the annual Baltimore Blast media game, check out this video of a soccer player named Anderson Fredrick from a low-level Venezuelan league who somehow managed to shank a wide-open shot at an empty goal from about four yards out.

As Deadspin’s Emma Carmichael noted in a post about Fredrick’s epic miss, we bloggers have a tendency to hyperbolize when it comes to these amusing athletic blunders.
