The troubling NFL lockout didn't stop the league from releasing an all-too-familiar preseason schedule for the Ravens on Tuesday, which is highlighted by a national prime-time matchup against the Washington Redskins.
The Ravens open their preseason with a trip to Philadelphia on the weekend of Aug. 11-15. This marks the 12th time that the Ravens and Eagles have met in the preseason.
The Ravens' next game is their first preseason one against the Kansas City Chiefs. A rematch of last year's wild-card game -- which the Ravens won, 30-7 -- is scheduled for Aug. 18-22.
The Ravens will then face the Washington Redskins at M&T; Bank Stadium on Aug. 25. The regional rivals, who have met for three straight years, will play at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
And like most preseasons, the Ravens will end on the road where they will play the Atlanta Falcons in a game likely to be played on Sept. 1. The Ravens have finished away from M&T; Bank Stadium in six of the past seven preseasons, including three trips to the Georgia Dome during that span.
