Jay Carlson
St. Paul's, attack, senior
Nicknamed "Phone Booth" for his dodging ability around the crease, the All-Metro standout scored 41 goals and added 13assists as a junior. Carlson, who is committed to play at Maryland, was the offensive hero with four goals and an assist in the Crusaders' MIAA AConference title-game win over Boys' Latin.
Jeff Chase
Boys' Latin, midfield, senior
Bringing a complete game that features speed, power and stick skills, Chase (Loyola) is looking to pick up where he left off at the end of last season. After major knee surgery as a sophomore, Chase (22goals, five assists) completely returned to form with 11 goals in the Lakers' last five games.
Logan Connolly
St. Mary's, attack, senior
In his third year on varsity, Connolly (Notre Dame) will take on more responsibility, quarterbacking the Saints' attack with the ability to carry the ball and score or distribute to teammates. He has totaled 45 goals and 46 assists in his first two varsity seasons.
Conor Doyle
Gilman, attack, senior
Doyle (Notre Dame) is sneaky quick with smooth moves around the cage to provide instant offense. He comes off a 37-goal, 21-assist junior season with plans to lead the Greyhounds back into the MIAA AConference playoffs.
Bryson Greene
McDonogh, defense, senior
Game after game, the Eagles know exactly what they are going to get from Greene (Georgetown): great stickwork, smart positioning and dominating man coverage. His individual skills and ability to incorporate them in the Eagles' defensive unit makes him the most complete defenseman in the area.
Ben McCarty
South Carroll, midfield, senior
Score goals? Check. Dish out assists? Check. Win faceoffs? Check. McCarty (Towson) does it all for the Cavaliers. Last season, he finished with 56 goals and 25assists, while winning 67 percent of the draws he took. His versatile play makes South Carroll the favorite in Carroll County.
Wells Stanwick
Boys' Latin, attack, senior
The area's most complete player brings smart and creative play as the focal point of the Lakers' high-powered attack. For totaling 38 goals and 42 assists as a junior, Stanwick (Johns Hopkins) was named to the U.S. Lacrosse All-America team.
Andy Thrasher
Fallston, attack, senior
A four-year starter, Thrasher (undecided) grinds out goals with an uncanny knack for finding open spaces and getting off quick, hard shots. Coming off a 31-goal junior season to give him 123 for his career, he needs 43 to become the program's all-time leader.
Ryan Tucker
Gilman, midfield, senior
An explosive full-field midfielder, Tucker (Virginia) can affect a game all over the field with his dynamic play. Coming off a 19-goal, 10-assist season that also featured 51 ground balls, Tucker will be the focal point for the Greyhounds.
Nick Wynne
Glenelg, attack, junior
With a good chunk of last year's offense lost to graduation, the Class 2A-1A state runner-up Gladiators will look for Wynne to take on the lead role. Lightning-quick with an ability to score from anywhere, Wynne appears primed to build on his 39-goal, 18-assist sophomore season.
