The Capitals won their eighth straight game on Sunday, beating the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Blackhawks, 4-3, on Mike Knuble's overtime game-winner.
The bigger story, though, was that DJ Pauly D of "Jersey Shore" fame attended the game at Verizon Center as Alex Ovechkin's special guest.
"Going To Support My Main Homie @ovi8 @ The Caps Game Right Now !!! Then Off To Zembo Shrine !!!!! #beatdatbeat," Pauly D Tweeted before the game.
After the game, Pauly D showed up on the Jumbotron, posed with the Capitals' mascot and impressed Capitals owner Ted Leonsis, who called him a "very polite young man."
