Adrian Amos, the All-Metro safety from Calvert Hall, today announced that he will attend Penn State and play for legendary football coach Joe Paterno.
For Amos, it came down to the Nittany Lions, Connecticut and West Virginia.
Amos, a 6-foot-1, 200-pounder, had made an oral commitment to UConn in late August but withdrew it after Coach Randy Edsall left for Maryland.
Last fall, Amos led the Cardinals to the MIAA A Conference title and The Sun's No. 1 ranking. He finished with 78 tackles and four interceptions.
