Loyola, Notre Dame Prep win team titles at national swimming meet

Loyola and Notre Dame Prep won the team titles at the National Catholic High School Swimming Championships over the weekend at Villanova and La Salle universities in Philadelphia.

Loyola's Oliver Bennett (100-yard butterfly) and NDP's Kendall Krumenacker (100 freestyle) and Erin Dunseith (100 backstroke) won gold medals.

Bennett also swam on two winning relays, the 200 medley with Kendrick McDonald, JP Clancy and Aaron Jones and the 400 freestyle with Alex Porter, Connor McGarvey and Cameron James.

Dunseith, Summer Legambi, Maryellen Mangione and Leigh Musselman won the 200 medley relay for the Blazers, who scored 443 points to second-place Good Counsel's 297. NDP also won the 200 freestyle relay with Dani Potis, Nana Salvatori, Melissa Dorsch and Krumenacker.

The Dons took their fourth straight tile, scoring 448 points to beat Gonzaga's 371.
