2. Celtics 30-9 (2): Thank heaven for Clippers, who beat Heat, wounded LeBron James.

3. Spurs 34-6 (3): Lakers just went 9-1 … and gained one game on them.

4. Lakers 30-11 (6): They'll never be young again, but they're still really tall.

5. Magic 25-14 (4): 9-0 run ends with road losses to Hornets and Thunder.

6. Thunder 27-13 (7): Outrebounded 55 opponents last season, only 20 so far.

7. Jazz 27-13 (8): Whatever they miss, still grind it out.

8. Bulls 26-13 (9): How good is Derrick Rose? Now it's Chris Paul, Deron Williams and him.

9. Hawks 26-14 (10): Jamal Crawford, who knows he's gone, averages 23 off bench in 7-1 run.

10. Mavericks 26-12 (5): Not too soon to panic: 2-7 with Dirk Nowitzki out.

11. Hornets 24-16 (12): Like Jazz but smaller: Started 11-1, lost 13 of 20, 6-2 since.

12. Nuggets 22-16 (13): It's too late to panic.

13. Knicks 22-17 (11): Someone revive Spike Lee: After going 19-6, lost at home to Kings.

14. Trail Blazers 20-20 (14): Brandon Roy hopes to return next month … or April … after knee scopes.

15. Grizzlies 18-21 (15): In salary drive, free agent Zach Randolph averages 25 in 4-2 run.

16. Rockets 17-23 (16): Starting 6-6 center Chuck Hayes with 6-0 (as if) Aaron Brooks, 6-0 (ditto) Kyle Lowry.

22. Bobcats 15-22 (23): In virtual tie for No. 8, 6-3 with Paul Silas, looking to dump Gerald Wallace.

23. Clippers 13-25 (21): Baron Davis' comeback shows what (no) faith in someone can do.

24. Pistons 13-26 (25): Bad Boys, Worse Boys: Tayshaun Prince calls Rip Hamilton's DNP-CD: "Buffoonery."

25. Raptors 13-26 (24): Bad sign: Lost 8 of 10 at home, two to Pistons.

26. Nets 10-29 (26): There's a place for them too, or most of them … Denver.

27. Kings 9-28 (28): DeMarcus Cousins shows he's worth trouble, or close, at 18-8 this month.

28. Timberwolves 10-30 (29): Long way down to find best young forward tandem, Love-Beasley.

29. Wizards 10-27 (27): Resounding thud: John Wall averaging 15 this month, shooting 37 percent.

30. Cavaliers 8-31 (30): Lost 22 of 23, last two by 55, 22.
