Baltimore Sun staff picks: Wild-card playoff game: Ravens vs. Chiefs

Kevin Cowherd: Ravens 20, Chiefs 10: Don't look for offensive fireworks, but the Ravens D should contain the Chiefs, whose amazing turnaround comes to an abrupt end.

Jamison Hensley: Ravens 28, Chiefs 27: The passing game wakes up for the playoffs, and Joe Flacco pulls the Ravens through another close one.

Edward Lee: Ravens 17, Chiefs 16: The Chiefs are no pushover, especially at Arrowhead Stadium, and Jamaal Charles and Dwayne Bowe will present problems. In the end, however, the Ravens figure out Kansas City's defense to set up Billy Cundiff for the game-winning field goal. Pick: Ravens, 17-16.

Ken Murray: Ravens 24, Chiefs 21: Expect a very physical, punishing game, and look for the Ravens to find another way to win.

Mike Preston: Ravens 20, Chiefs 13: Ravens have more proven players and are just plain tougher.

Peter Schmuck: Ravens 27, Chiefs 24: Billy Cundiff wins this one with a 45-yard field goal in the final minute. Nobody said it was going to be easy.

WJZ's Mark Viviano: Ravens 20, Chiefs13: It could be another ugly game, but the Ravens aren't winning beauty contests this season.
