The Ravens' playoff scenario is simple Sunday at Cleveland: win and they're in.
A victory over the Browns (5-9) would secure a team-record third straight trip to the playoffs for the Ravens (10-4), who are 31/2-point favorites. The Ravens have won their past five games against Cleveland.
"You want to get it done," Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs said. "You don't want other teams to help you when it's in your hands."
If the Ravens lose, they can still reach the playoffs with help from other teams. The Ravens would need one of four scenarios to occur:
•Kansas City loses and Jacksonville loses or ties
•Kansas City loses and Indianapolis loses or ties
•San Diego loses or ties and Jacksonville loses or ties
•San Diego loses or ties and Indianapolis loses or ties
The Chiefs are home against the Titans. The Jaguars are home against the Redskins. The Colts play at Oakland. The Chargers play at Cincinnati.
The Ravens also need to remain in contention with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the AFC North title as well as the No. 2 seed in the AFC (and a first-round bye in the playoffs) heading into the final week of the regular season.
The Steelers kept the inside track for the division title when they routed the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.
"That was good for them," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. "They got it done. Congratulations to them. We just move forward. Now, it's our turn. We have to step up."
