The 5-foot-11 freshman forward made a fine impression in her first varsity action, leading the Admirals to a 2-1 start last week. In a 51-39 season-opening win over Maryvale Prep Nov. 30, Gibbons finished with 12 points, three rebounds and four steals. The Admirals improved to 2-0 with a 60-38 win over Anne Arundel County rival St. Mary's on Wednesday, with Gibbons finishing with 14 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field and adding three rebounds and a blocked shot. In a 47-30 loss to Mount de Sales on Friday, Gibbons finished with eight points, three rebouns, two blocked shots, one assist and one steal. With the Admirals now 3-1 after a win over Old Mill on Monday, Gibbons is averaging 10.5 points, three rebounds and two steals per game.
