Playing in an offense that doesn't rely much on the pass, the junior wide receiver made two spectacular leaping catches Friday night to clinch a 16-14 victory over No. 4 and defending state Class 4A champ Old Mill, a week after the Patriots had ripped his No. 5 Bruins 31-7 in the regular-season finale. The Bruins threw just five passes, but Solomon, 6 feet 4, caught three, soaring above the opposition to reel in the ball and run for 67-yard and 39-yard touchdowns in the final 19 minutes. He has 16 catches for 519 yards and four touchdowns this season. Solomon also starts for the Bruins basketball team.
