Boys Athlete of the Week // Cody Turner, North Harford, football

The senior quarterback and free safety stood out on both sides of the ball Friday — scoring two touchdowns and making three interceptions — to help the No. 10 Hawks remain undefeated with a 29-20 win over Harford County rival Havre de Grace. Turner carried the ball eight times for 40 yards and two rushing touchdowns. He also completed 3 of 8 passes for 105 yards. His interceptions came at key times, including one with North Harford leading 7-6 in the third quarter that the Hawks converted to pull ahead, 15-6. This season, Turner has carried the ball 61 times for 538 yards and 14 touchdowns. He has also thrown four touchdown passes. Also a lacrosse player for the Hawks, Turner plans to play football in college and is being recruited by Salisbury and Stevenson.
