Mike Preston's Ravens-Bills matchups

Bills OG Andy Levitre and C Georff Hangartner vs Ravens DT Haloti Ngata: Neither left guard Levitre and center Hangartner can handle Ngata one-on-one. Thye'll be doing a lot of combination blocks inside to move Ngata off the ball, but that will be a tough assignment as well. If the Bills can't handle Ngata, it will be hard for them to run the ball inside. They'll be running outside on the perimeter. Edge: Ngata

Bills RBs  Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller vs Ravens OLBs Jarret Johnson and Terrell Suggs: The Bills want to concentrate running on the edges to stay away from Ngata and inside linebacker Ray Lewis. Both Jackson and Spiller are decent backs. Jackson has become their primary ball carrier. He is a very intelligent runner as far as reading and setting up blockers. Spiller hasn't been used much except as a change of pace. Great speed, so Johnson and Suggs can't break containment. Edge: Even

Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. Ravens safety Ed Reed: Fitzpatrick has been a bright spot on offense this season throwing seven touchdowns and compiling a 99.9 percent quarterback rating. No one knows for sure how much (or if) Reed will play, but it will be interesting just to see how he moves on the field. The Bills have no film on Reed this season so it will be interesting to see how he baits Fitzpatrick. Edge: Reed
