The senior hitter, a four-year starter and captain, was the leading force in helping the No. 2 Hawks (6-1) capture Reservoir's inaugural Gator Invitational Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. Okey's highlight came in the championship round, when she had 16 kills and seven digs as the Hawks defeated No. 1 Centennial in two games. Leading up to the title match, she had 32 kills, nine digs and six blocks as River Hill beat Wilde Lake, Good Counsel and defending Class 3A state champ Northern-Calvert in the preliminary round before ousting host Reservoir in the semifinals. For the season, Okey has 82 kills, 36 digs and 10 aces. Earlier last week, she accepted a full academic scholarship to Cornell, where she will continue her volleyball career.
