National roundup: Ingram powers Tide over Gators

Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram ran for two touchdowns, leading No. 1 Alabama to a 31-7 home win over No. 7 Florida on Saturday.

Greg McElroy completed 11 of 17 passes for 84 yards and wide receiver Marquis Maze threw a touchdown pass for the Crimson Tide (5-0, 2-0 Southeastern Conference), who have reeled off 29 consecutive regular-season victories.

Florida had won 24 consecutive regular-season games, with its last such loss coming against Ole Miss on Sept. 27, 2008.

No. 2 Ohio State 24, Illinois 13: Terrelle Pryor threw two touchdown passes and rushed for 104 yards, helping the visiting Buckeyes (5-0, 1-0 Big Ten Conference) past the Illini (2-2, 0-1).

Pryor had runs of 66 and 35 yards among his 11 carries and completed nine of 16 passes for 76 yards. The junior Heisman Trophy candidate left one series and sat out another in the third quarter after suffering a quadriceps injury.

No. 3 Boise State 59, New Mexico State 0: Kellen Moore threw three touchdown passes and Doug Martin rushed for 95 yards in the first half as the Broncos (4-0, 1-0 Western Athletic Conference) routed the host Aggies (0-4, 0-1) for their 18th win in a row.

No. 4 Oregon 52, No. 9 Stanford 31: Darron Thomas threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another score to lead the host Ducks (5-0, 2-0 Pacific-10 Conference) to a come-from-behind win over the Cardinal (4-1, 1-1).

LaMichael James rushed for 257 yards and scored three touchdowns for Oregon, which outscored Stanford 28-0 in the second half.

No. 5 Texas Christian 27, Colorado State 0: Ed Wesley rushed for two touchdowns and Andy Dalton threw for a score as the Horned Frogs (5-0, 1-0 Mountain West Conference) shut out the host Rams (1-4, 0-1).

No. 8 Oklahoma 28, No. 21 Texas 20: DeMarco Murray rushed for 115 yards and two scores on 25 carries, and the Sooners (5-0, 1-0 Big 12 Conference) held on to defeat the Longhorns (3-2, 1-1) in Dallas in the 105th installment of the Red River Rivalry.

No. 24 Michigan State 34, No. 11 Wisconsin 24: Kirk Cousins threw three touchdown passes, leading the host Spartans (5-0, 1-0 Big Ten) past the Badgers (4-1, 0-1).

Cousins completed 20 of 29 passes for 269 yards and was intercepted twice for Michigan State, which has won its first five games for the first time since 1999 despite playing without coach Mark Dantonio. Dantonio, who had a heart attack two weeks ago, was expected to be in the press box Saturday but was readmitted to a hospital Thursday with a blood clot in his leg.

No. 17 Iowa 24, No. 22 Penn State 3: Ricky Stanzi threw for one touchdown and ran for another to lead the host Hawkeyes (4-1, 1-0 Big Ten) past the Nittany Lions (3-2, 0-1).

Stanzi completed 16 of 22 passes for 227 yards, and Adam Robinson rushed for 95 yards on 28 carries for Iowa.

No. 19 Michigan 42, Indiana 35: Denard Robinson passed for 277 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 218 yards and two more scores, including the game-winner with 21 seconds left, as the Wolverines (5-0, 1-0 Big Ten) beat the host Hoosiers (3-1, 0-1).
