No. 1 Gilman rolls past Georgetown Prep, 42-6

Darius Jennings rushed six times for 144 yards and scored the first two touchdowns of the game for No. 1 Gilman in its 42-6 win against visiting Georgetown Prep.

The Greyhounds (4-1) held the Little Hoyas (2-1) to no offensive touchdowns but gave up the lone touchdown when Kenneth Giblin recovered a fumble in the end zone late in the fourth quarter.

The longest score of the game came on Jennings' 71-yard run in the second quarter. Kenneth Goins added two rushing touchdowns in the third quarter for Gilman.

The Greyhounds travel to play No. 6 Calvert Hall on Oct. 8. in a matchup of top-10 teams.

No. 3 River Hill 41, Reservoir 19:

It was just another game of one big play after the other at River Hill on Friday night. River Hill (4-0), celebrating its homecoming, defeated visiting Reservoir (3-1).

No. 5 Old Mill 47, North County 0:

Robert Chesson led the Patriots' (3-1) rushing attack with three touchdowns from five carries and 149 yards against the Knights (2-2), and he also added an interception on defense. Demond Brown also helped fuel Old Mill's rushing game, adding 113 yards from six carries and two touchdowns.

No. 11 Franklin 33, Woodlawn 12: The aerial connection Friday night between Joey Dorsey and Ian Thomas resulted in two touchdowns Friday for the Indians (4-0) in their road win over the Warriors (1-3).

No. 5 Perry Hall 1, No. 11 Dulaney 0: Nick Liberto scored for the Gators (4-1) in the only goal of the game Saturday on an assist from Kevin Medrano to hand the Lions (3-1) their first loss of the season.

Perry Hall's victory over Dulaney is its second over a top-15 team this year, adding to a win over No. 1-ranked McDonogh.

Emily Shandruk had four saves for Perry Hall in their shutout of Dulaney, while Alexa and Preslie Quarnata added goals themselves, each their second goals on the season.
