In his first season as starting quarterback, Throndset rallied the Knights from a 28-6 deficit going into the third quarter to a 35-34 overtime victory over Tuscarora on Friday night. The 6-foot, 175-pound senior hit 20 of 28 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns in the final 18 minutes of regulation. He finished 26-for-48 for 340 yards and three touchdowns. An All-Carroll County safety last season while backing up All-Metro quarterback Josh Bordner, Throndset completed 35 of 70 passes for 476 yards and five touchdowns in the first two games. He also plays basketball for the Knights and wants to play football in college.
