Loyola, senior, midfield
• Three-year starter at defensive midfield who had three goals and five assists this season
• Was the igniter for the team's riding, clearing and transition abilities and responsible for shutting down the opponent's top offensive player
• All-Tewaarton Team selection who also will represent the South team in the Under Armour All-America Classic
• Will play for Maryland next year
Jay Carlson
St. Paul's, junior, attack
• Capped a breakthrough season with a four-goal, one-assist effort in the No. 1 Crusaders' 17-7 win over No.2 Boys' Latin in the MIAA A Conference title game
• Finished the season with 41 goals and 13 assists and has 74 and 22, respectively, in his two varsity seasons
• Nicknamed "phone booth" by teammates because of his dodging ability in tight quarters
• Orally committed to playing at Maryland
Brian Cooper
Archbishop Spalding, senior, midfield
• Team captain and three-year starter finished with 43 points to lead the Cavaliers to the MIAA AConference playoffs
• Combined grit and finesse as one of the area's finest two-way players at midfield
• Returned for the playoffs after missing four games because of a separated shoulder and scored four goals in a loss to McDonogh
• First Spalding player to be named an Under Armour and U.S. Lacrosse All-American
Calvert Hall, senior, goalie
• Total package with great instincts to stop the ball, distribute and provide confidence with strong vocal presence as team captain
• Four-year starter had 201 saves for a 68 percent save rate this season
• Scored two goals and added three assists
• Ohio State-bound player who was named an Under Armour and U.S. Lacrosse All-American
McDonogh, senior, attack
• Dynamic playmaker who could score or set up teammates
• Three-year starter scored 33 goals and added 24 assists this season
• Scored five goals and added an assist in the Eagles' MIAA quarterfinal win over Spalding
• All-Tewaaraton Team selection who is set to play at Ohio State next year
John Hogan
St. Mary's, senior, midfield
• Team captain had 25 goals and 24 assists in his third varsity season
Possessed excellent stick skills and a good understanding of the game to provide steady and dynamic play in the middle
• Also played soccer and football at St. Mary's
• Will be attending Cornell after a year at Deerfield Academy
Connor Hunt
Severna Park, senior, defense
• Shutdown defender led the Falcons to a 20-0 season and the Class 4A-3A state crown
• Finished with 75 ground balls to help the Falcons quickly go from defense to offense
• Contributed six goals and three assists, including a goal in the Falcons' 13-7 state title win over Wootton
• Will follow his brothers, Ben and Chris, by playing at North Carolina next year
Alec Mitchell
St. Paul's, senior, defense
• Two-year varsity player was the mainstay of a defense that surrendered an MIAA league-low 6.15 goals per game this season
• Scooped up 47 ground balls and caused 35 turnovers, while contributing one goal and two assists on offense
• Understanding of the game, anticipation in passing lanes and timely checks were a constant disruption for opposing attacks
• Set to play at Gettysburg next year
Joe Meurer
McDonogh, senior, defense
• A dominating disruptive force on defense, was the recipient of the C. Markland Kelly Award as top player in the state
• Finished the season with 104 ground balls to lead the No. 3 Eagles to the MIAA A Conference semifinals
Also contributed five goals and two assists
• Headed for Ohio State; was named to the All-Tewaaraton Team and Under Armour and U.S. Lacrosse All-America teams
Wells Stanwick
Boys' Latin, junior, attack
• Quarterbacked the Lakers' potent attack with consistently creative play to score and set up teammates
• Finished his third varsity season with 38 goals and 42 assists
• Named to the All-Tewaaraton team and U.S. Lacrosse All-America team
• A Johns Hopkins commitment, he joins older brother Steele, along with sisters Covie, Sheehan, Coco and Wick, in earning All-Metro status in lacrosse
