The senior became the first girl ever to win the MIAA golf championship, taking the title over 98 other players – 97 of them boys – in a one-hole playoff last week at Woodholme Country Club. Playing from the men's tees, Rohrback shot a 73 the first day and a 77 the second day to finish even with Gilman's Linn Worthington, but she recovered from a bad drive to edge him on the first extra hole and take the individual stroke play title. Rohrback, who is headed to Tennessee on a full golf scholarship, plays on the Cavaliers' boys team, because they don't have enough girls for a team to compete in the girls IAAM league. Last summer, Rorhback qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur championship and she has won a couple of American Junior Golf Association events events. She has a 3.9 grade-point average.
