Right-hander Mary Sobota pitched her third shutout in as many days as No. 11 Franklin softballl team beat Lansdowne, 1-0, Friday at CCBC-Catonsville to claim the Baltimore County Championship for a third year-in-a-row.
Franklin swept Dulaney, 6-0 and 7-3 on Wednesday and shut out Towson, 17-0 on Thursday.
Winner Sobota (14-0) pitched seven innings, gave up six hits, walked one and struck out six.
In the top of the second inning, Kim Dorsey walked and advacned on a fielder's choice and a passed ball before Amber Lahay hit a groundball to short to plate the winning run.
Franklin won the previous two championships behind the pitching of Jodan Eades.
Urbana 1, No. 3 Archbishop Spalding 0: Alexa Murphy pitched a eight-ining shutout, giving up six hits and striking out five for the host Hawks (14-3). Urbana scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Playing under international rules, Urbana's runner on second advanced on a fielder's choice to third and scored on a throwing error.
The top-seeded Cavaliers (15-3) await the winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal between Mount de Sales and Mercy for Thursday's semifinal in the IAAM A Conference Tournament.
No. 6 Glenelg 4, River Hill 3: The host Gladiators (15-2) ended the Hawks six-game winning streak. After giving up three runs in the first, Glenelg's defense settled down as reliever Amanda Sergrist did not allow a base runner.
Baseball
No. 1 C. Milton Wright 6, North Harford 0: Right-hander Brad Markey (5-0) pitched his third shutout of the season, second-in-a-row, giving up two hits, walked one and struck out eight for the visiting Mustangs (17-0).
Markey has given up three hits in the past 14 inniigs.
Broadneck 11, No. 2 Severna Park 8: Ryan Kroll pitched a complete game, struck out seven and went 4-for-4 with three home runs and five RBIs to power the Bruins upset over the host Falcons.
Severna Park took a 3-1 lead after the first inning before Broadneck scored six runs in the top of the second inning and never trailed again.
Reservoir 12, No. 3 Hammond 5: Winner Kyle Alexander pitched seven innings to brother Kevin Alexander and T.J. Pipik (3-for-5) had two homers as the visiting Gators (12-5) upset the Bears (15-2).
Alexander held Hammond scoreless for three innings and gave up five runs on five hits, two walks and struck out 12. The game featured seven home runs.
No. 9 Mount St. Joseph 3, No. 5 Calvert Hall 1: Winner Travis O'Brien gave up one run on two hits and the Gaels (14-9) scored twice in the seventh to upset the Cardinals (18-8).
Boys lacrosse
No. 1 Loyola 7, No. 7 Archbishop Spalding 6: Brian Cannon scored the game-winner with 48 seconds left to lift the visiting Dons (13-4) over the Cavaliers (9-9).
Wade Korvin gave Spalding a 6-5 lead with 2:32 left before Loyola's Alex Hardwick scored his second goal to knot the score at 6-6 with 1:30 left.
No. 10 Gilman 10, Severn 6: Ryan Tucker had two goals and two assists to lead the host Greyhounds (8-9) past the Admirals (5-14).
Gilman outshot Severn, 36-39, but won 7-of-20 face-offs.
Girls lacrosse
No. 8 Bryn Mawr 17, Seton Keough 6: Paige Hanson and Morgan Rubin each scored five goals to power the host Mawrtians (12-3) past the Gators in the opening round of the IAAM A Conference Tournament.
Bryn Mawr travels to St. Mary's, a 16-6 winner over Archbishop Spalding, in Tuesday's quarterfinal.

No. 13 Severn 11, Garrison Forest 6: Bridget Brown had a hat trick to lead the host Admirals (11-7) past the Grizzlies in the opening round of the IAAM Tournament.
Severn travels to NDP Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
St. Timothy's 14, Beth Tfiloh 2: Eliza Finn had four goals and two assists to power the Brownies past the Warriors in the opening round of the C Conference.
St. Tim's facess the winner of Tuesday's Lutheran/Key School in Thursday's semfinal.
Roland Park 16, Mount de Sales 11: Madison Formwalt scored a game-high five goal to power the host Reds past the Sailors in an IAAM A Conference.
