Pimlico spring meet begins

Opening Day at Pimlico on Saturday includes a pre-race ceremony honoring former general manager Chick Lang, who died last month, the $70,000 Henry Clark Stakes and a concert between the fifth and sixth races featuring country music singer Steve Azar.

Maryland Super 60 Showcase

A collection of Baltimore's top high school basketball talent will be on display at St. Paul's on Saturday. Three Baltimore all-star teams (freshmen, sophomores and juniors) will face three Maryland all-star teams, starting with the class of 2013 game at 1 p.m. The first game features Patterson's Aquille Carr, a 5-foot-7 point guard and Baltimore Sun All-Metro selection.
