Five Baltimore-area youth bowlers were chosen to participate in the Professional Bowlers Association/United States Bowling Congress "Insider's Tour" during the Lumber Liquidators Marathon Open at AMF Country Club Lanes from March 30 to April 4. Daniel Lyles, 15, from AMF Woodlawn Lanes; Carly Thomas, 14, from Terrace Lanes; and Brent Hahn, 14, Nick Stitely, 11, and Amanda Warner, 14, all from Greenmount Bowl will meet the stars of the PBA Tour and attend Friday night's qualifying round and Sunday's finals, televised on ESPN, among other activities.

College lacrosse: Ten Terps scored as the No. 2 Maryland women's lacrosse team beat visiting No. 12 Stanford (5-3), 20-8. Karri Ellen Johnson had four goals and Laura Merrifield had three to lead the Terps (9-0).
