Ravens re-sign Edgar Jones to 1-year deal

The Ravens today signed reserve tight end Edgar Jones to a one-year, $545,000 deal. He wasn't tendered by the team as a restricted free agent.

Jones also has played linebacker for the Ravens and has been a solid special teams player for the team.

Tight end is one of the areas the Ravens could be targeting in the upcoming NFL Draft. After starter Todd Heap and Jones, plus practice squad player Davon Drew, a fifth-round draft pick a year ago, the Ravens are thin at the position.
