Emily Lloyd Severna Park, swimmingThe Virginia-bound senior set two individual meet records and helped two relay teams break meet records in leading the Falcons to the state Class 4A-3A girls swimming championship for the third time in four years. Lloyd, who has won the maximum eight individual gold medals in her career, took the 50-yard freestyle (23.16 seconds) and the 200 free (1 minute, 52.69 seconds) in All-America times. She also swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay (1:39.86) and the second-place 400 free relay, which came in under the previous meet record but lost to Urbana. A club swimmer with the Severna Park Y (SPY) since she was 8, Lloyd has a 4.5 weighted grade-point average.
