Bobby Bowman Mount St. Joseph, wrestlingThe senior, who had been slowed by Lyme disease and injuries in past years, went 42-8 this year and peaked at the National Prep Tournament at Lehigh last weekend. Seeded No. 6 at 171 pounds, he beat the third and second seeds and missed winning the title by about a half-second. The final match ended with a 5-4 decision when Bowman's takedown of top seed Tanner Eitel of Texas at the buzzer was disallowed. Still, Bowman ensured that his Gaels finished fifth among 114 teams. Bowman carries a 3.0 grade-point average. He plans to wrestle in college, though he is undecided on a school.
