Crystal Palace Baltimore added goalkeepers Chase Harrison and Evan Bush to its 2010 roster and lost goalie Brian Rowland to retirement. Harrison, 25, played his college soccer at Virginia Tech from 2002 to 2005. In 2006, he was taken by Real Salt Lake in the third round of the Major League Soccer supplemental draft. He made two appearances before Salt Lake waived him at the end of the season. Harrison spent the past three seasons playing in the United Soccer League. Bush, 23, was a standout at Akron, earning three All-Mid-American Conference first-team selections, the 2005 MAC Newcomer of the Year award and 2005 Freshman All-America honors. Bush spent 2009, his first professional season, playing in the USL. Longtime Crystal Palace goalie Rowland leaves the team to serve as assistant coach for the University of Maryland's men's soccer team.

D.C. United: The team waived goalkeeper Milos Kocic, who made three league starts for the United last season. The team selected him in the second round (21st overall) of the 2009 MLS SuperDraft. Kocic finished his rookie season with a 1-2-1 record in MLS play and a 2.34 goals-against average.
