Meissner to discuss Games experiences at Sports Legends

Baltimore Sun

Kimmie Meissner will recount memories of figure skating at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, as part of a program at Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards next Saturday. As part of the 1 p.m. program, "Olympic Experiences with Kimmie Meissner," the Bel Air native will also discuss the preparation she took to get to the Games, at which she finished sixth. The event goes hand-in-hand with the museum's "Treasures From Our Attic" exhibit, which features Meissner's 2006 world championship medal. Meissner was also the 2007 U.S. champion and Four Continents champion, making her the first woman and first American to simultaneously hold the world, national and Four Continents titles. Admission to the museum is $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for children ages 3-12.
