Because of the recent snowstorms, Laurel Park's events originally scheduled for the Presidents Day weekend have been merged into an 11-race card Monday. Included are four stakes races: the $150,000 Barbara Fritchie Handicap and the $150,000 General George Handicap, both Grade II races; the $70,000 John B. Campbell Handicap; and the $70,000 Marshua Stakes. The Fritchie (4:21 p.m. post), a seven-furlong race for fillies and mares, drew 14 starters: Hour Glass (4-1), Sweet Goodbye (9-2), Weathered (5-1), defending champion Royale Michele (6-1), Cuvee Uncorked (6-1), Northern Station (8-1), Sky Have (12-1), Pamona Ball (12-1), Missunitednations (20-1), Super Slash (20-1), East Breaks (20-1), Fascinatin' Rhythm (20-1), Huge (30-1) and Me Love (30-1). The General George Handicap (3:53 post) has eight entrants: Greenspring (9-5), Digger (2-1), Ah Day (6-1), Malibu Kid (8-1), No Advantage (8-1), Mt. Glittermore (10-1), Uncle Gidge (12-1) and Nay's Tap (20-1).
