Girls Athlete of the Week: Alyssa McClure, Digital Harbor, indoor track

The senior All-Metro sprinter won three events in the Baltimore City indoor track championships at the 5th Regiment Armory to lead the Rams to their first city title. In her best event, McClure won the 55-meter dash in 7.15 seconds. Earlier this season, she ran 6.96 in the 55, the fastest time in the country this season, according to Dystat.com. McClure is unbeaten in the 55 and the 300, which she also won at the city meet. She is the defending state Class 1A champion in both events. McClure has a 3.7 grade-point average and is being recruited by Miami, Ohio State, Louisville, South Carolina and Texas Christian.
